If it is fresh produce you are after - look no further than a regional Farmers Market.
We attended our town’s monthly Farmers Market today.
People supporting their local farmers this morning, despite the rain last night.
There was an abundance of locally grown:
Meat.
Fruit.
Vegetables.
Honey.
Breads.
Eggs.
Marmalades, jams and chutneys.
Soaps.
Perfumes.
Beer, wines and spirits.

Selling Direct to the Consumer
For many primary producers, supplying the large supermarket chains has become unprofitable. In fact, some of the large supermarket chains have been caught ‘ripping off farmers’ to the tune of millions of dollars.

By selling directly to the consumer, farmers are able to cut out the middlemen - earning more money for themselves. In turn, the additional revenue is likely to be circulated through their local economies and their whole community wins.
Benefits of Farmers Markets:
So for those contemplating a City Escape, know that your local Farmers Markets will provide you with:
The very freshest of meat, fruit and vegetables.
Access to a decentralised network of primary producers.
Less reliance on modern and centralised distribution chains.
A growing pool of community wealth.
Community infrastructure to support said markets.

There are many benefits to buying directly from farmers, the quality and freshness of the food, and it's cheaper. definitely making these improvised markets is a smart thing to do. sometimes I also buy the fruits and vegetables at the farmers market near my city, it is a bit far, but I get better prices and better food
